Welcome to The Realm::

This is our student generation here at Crossroads Community Church. The REALM is a community of students gathered together for a common purpose--to lift up the name of Jesus as we unite in corporate worship and prayer. Our desire is to see a student generation awakened to the life that God created them to live. A life of faith, love, and purpose in Him.

The following are watermarks of The Realm:: a watermark is an indelible imprint that cannot be removed.

[Ethos]

The spirit of our culture must always submit to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In all things He must be glorified. Jesus is central to our lives and ministry. He must be at the core. Everything we do will revolve around His gospel.

[Connectivity]

Relevance to culture is not an option. Believing the most effective way to connect with students in this generation is embracing the culture in which they live. By leveraging cultural knowledge, it allows us to reach a world void of truth. (1 Corinthians 9:19-23)

[Party Theology]

We must be a culture that’s inclusive not exclusive. This means living “in the world” but “not of it”. Inclusivity is the way to reach the “least of these”, those in need a loving savior, Jesus. We’re called to be a light in the dark. (Matthew 25:40; 9:9-13)

[3-D Gospel]

The gospel is more than just a story. It’s meant to be lived. It should take shape in our lives. It has depth and width, it’s tangible and useful. It’s God’s power for the salvation of men. (Romans 1:16)

[Equip]

Training, equipping, and mentoring students to become cultural leaders. By unleashing God’s dreams for our lives, our purpose is anchored in Him. “He has given us everything we need for life”. Through small group interaction, relationship building, and discipleship, we can build lives that bear fruit. A life that’s thriving in Jesus Christ feeds hungry souls. (Hebrews 13:20-21; 2 Peter 1:3)

[Worship]

Worship is an expression of the gifts and abilities God has given you. Worship is a lifestyle. It’s an expression of the creativity inside of you. Worship is any act that expresses who Christ is in you. Because God is not limited to one style or preference of worship, we’re embracing the uniqueness and creativity through several “elements” expressed in song, dance, art, and spoken word. (2 Samuel 6:14; 6:21-22 Exodus 31:2-5)

Our weekly gatherings are on Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:30pm in the Next Generation Auditorium. This is for students in 6th through 12th grade. For more information please contact Matt Gibbons at 864.228.9334 or mattgibbons@crccsc.org
